What is West Coast BBQ?
I grew up in Eugene, Oregon, where my family owned a BBQ restaurant. My dad and his brothers road-tripped across America’s BBQ belt, tasting the very best from Texas, the Carolinas, Memphis, and beyond — then brought those flavors home.
Today, in Santa Barbara, I combine those legendary regional styles with the incredible bounty I forage every week at the local farmers market.
The result is West Coast BBQ: Central Texas brisket and chicken, Carolina pulled pork, Memphis-style ribs, Santa Maria tri-tip — all starring alongside crisp, bright salads, grilled seasonal vegetables, and market-driven sides that turn great meat into an unforgettable California experience.
